On October 24, the SU7 Ultra Prototype became the fastest four-door car at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, reaching a 6:46.874 lap time. But the volume production variant of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra won’t repeat the Prototype’s result since it is heavier. The U7 Ultra Prototype has a carbon fiber body and a curb weight of 1,900 kg.

Prices

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra costs 814,900 yuan in China. It is 114,200 USD. The volume sales of the SU7 Ultra will kick off in March 2025. However, it has become available for pre-sales. During the presentation, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun mentioned that the price of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT reaches 1,998,000 yuan (280K USD) in China. And it offers less power.

The Goldman Sachs investment bank forecasts Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sales will be 4,000 units in 2025. It is worth mentioning that the SU7 Ultra got 3,680 orders 10 minutes after the presentation had ended.

During the launch ceremony of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said the company’s automotive division delivered over 20,000 units of the regular SU7 sedan in October. The automaker expects to reach the full-year delivery target of 100,000 cars in November. The new target is 120,000 units delivered by the end of the year.

    • There’s no competition here. The SU7 ultra has 1500hp, sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds with a top speed of 350 km/h. It can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 11 minutes. It also has 4 doors and back seats. The starting price is just 112k USD. It’s already the fastest 4 door car in Nürburgring. It’s sad legacy auto can’t achieve what Xiaomi did in less than 5 years. Imagine losing to a smartphone manufacturer.

        • The production version of SU7 ultra will be mostly the same as the SU7 ultra that broke the lap record. The production version will have 3 motors that produce 1500hp. It will have the same 93kwh battery, carbon fibre parts, 2 doors and 4 seats, and a starting price of 112k USD. The only difference is it will be heavier than the track version because it uses less carbon fibre parts. The production car sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds with a top speed of more than 350 km/h. It can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 11 minutes. Do some research.

          • Mostly the same? Mmmmhh… no. 1,900 kg prototype vs 2,500 kg production, different aerodynamics and setup … no, it’s not the same and we don’t know how fast the production SU7 Ultra is on ring …

        • Please say that to Ford CEO
He’s loving his Xiaomi and don’t want to let go
Why are you so angry? Do you get paid by Porsche? All the German manufacturers will soon feel the effect of the tariff war.
Xiaomi is just a smart phone manufacturer and they come this far.

    • copy from whom, you? it’s so funny you come a long way as a China hater just to register on a Chinese car website. you really have nothing else to do in real life huh

      • I don’t like Christian harshness but the Xiaomi SU7 is the copycat of Porsche Taycan. Cheaper and maybe faster (we don’t know at the time, we only know lighter prototype lap time). It’s a fact. Instead Yangwang U7 is not an european car copycat but it’s an original project.
