Geely’s high-end NEV brand Zeekr officially enters Norway with two electric cars: Zeekr 001 liftback and Zeekr X crossover. They will become available for order later this month with up to 10 years of warranty. Zeekr will curate a retail network with dealerships in major cities of the country.
On October 9, Zeekr announced its official entry into the Norway market. Last year, Zeekr started sales in the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden. According to the press release CarNewsChina received, the launch in Norway is a crucial strategic milestone in Zeekr’s overseas strategy. Zeekr Europe Chief Commercial Officer Lothar Schupet underlined that Norway is one of the most advanced EV markets in the world.
Zeekr in Norway
Geely-backed Zeekr has a direct-operating sales network domestically. However, the Chinese automaker picked another strategy for the Norway market. It will have a hand-picked dealership network here. The first Zeekr store will open in Oslo this month. It is the Premium Cars Stor-Oslo. The same company sells Geely-owned Volvo and Polestar cars in Norway as well.
Back to Zeekr, its retail network will spread to other major cities of the country in due course. The main feature of Zeekr vehicles in Norway is a warranty of up to 10 years. They come standard with a 5-year or 100,000 km vehicle warranty. It can be extended to an additional 5 years / 100,000 km if following the recommended service and maintenance schedule at Zeekr retailers or Zeekr-authorized service centers and workshops.
Zeekr officials underlined it partnered with Plugsurfing App, which has over 800,000 charging points all over Europe. Thanks to the cooperation, those chargers can be used via the Zeekr Charge App and charging RFID cards.
Zeekr will sell two models in Norway: the Zeekr 001 liftback and the Zeekr X crossover. Their price range has yet to be revealed. Earlier this year, Zeekr lowered the prices of the Zeekr X in several European countries. In Sweden, its starting price is 529,000 SEK (51,000 USD). It costs 42,490 EUR (46,550 USD) in the Netherlands. In Germany, it starts from 44,990 EUR (49,300 USD).

Tomorrow they will launch in Brazil too!! Hope for the 10 years warranty here also
Hi Lucas!
How are you doing?:)
Thank you for the heads up! We will make sure to track the Zeekr’s launch in Brazil as well.
Well, welcome to Norway Zeekr. But with the NMC battery technology, you’re not interesting unfortunately. It is far too dangerous. What happen to the “Golden Battery” from Zeekr, it was LFP with great qualities. The 2nd generation “Golden Battery” may be the fastest charging battery in the world, although it has just 75KW.
According to CNC; “it is a lithium iron phosphate battery that was self-developed by Zeekr”.
But we will not get it. Too much “conservative Volvo policy” going on, just like with the price level that we now know in Norway. Not nice…as Norway have no EU punishment tax on Chinese cars, – and even not the 10% that EU have on all Chinese products. Even no VAT for EV’s costing less than 500.000 NOK (estimated today; USD 46.400).
– And Zeekr’s most interesting car, the Zeekr 007, is not available. Not even sure the 001 is the last, updated version.
– They should have started with the most mature EV market in Europe – not Netherland, Germany and Sweden. Major mistake.
to be clear:
Zeekr have no really started in germany.
they do not offer facelift of Zeekr 001
they only offer RWD and privilege. the AWD is not offered.
next major mistake
I don’t think Zeekr is aiming to start rapidly. They’re doing the bare minimum to learn the market without too much risk.
