But its interesting to note that Brilliance had been in partnership with BMW for four years by that point. During that time one would think that BMW would have given Brilliance a heads up as to what standards it could expect, when trying to break into the German market with its own brand. But no, instead it apparently made no effort to help its Chinese partner, to save face in that new and unfamiliar environment.
