BAIC’s ArcFox Alpha T5 all-electric SUV with CATL battery and 660 km range launched, price starts at 21,800 USD

On December 27, ArcFox officially launched its Alpha T5 SUV. A total of four models were released with a price range of 155,800 – 199,800 yuan (21,800 – 28,000 USD), namely, 520 AIR, 520 PRO, 520 MAX, and 660 MAX. ArcFox is an electric car brand under BAIC.

Positioned as a medium-sized SUV, the ArcFox Alpha T5 measures 4690/1936/1650 mm, and a wheelbase of 2845 mm. Consumers can choose from four exterior body colors: Extreme Fox White, Extreme Night Black, Vision White, and Matt Sea Rock Grey.

All models come in two-wheel drive and have a 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds.

520 AIR, 520 PRO, 520 MAX

The charging port is placed on the left rear fender and supports both fast and slow charging. It is worth mentioning that the ArcFox Alpha T5 also comes with an 800V high-voltage charging platform, which can replenish the battery for a 260 km range in just 10 minutes, according to the brand.

Its front face adopts a closed grille design paired with sharp triangular headlights while the rear adopts a through-type taillight group, matched with a triangular taillight design in the middle of the bottom enclosure. Other features include the hidden door handles and a roof spoiler, contributing to the car’s drag coefficient of 0.245Cd. At the same time, the ArcFox Alpha T5 has a large panoramic sunroof with a light transmission area of ​​1.11 square meters.

The car runs on either 19-inch or 20-inch black rims, incorporated with red calipers, making it visually sporty.

Inside, the cockpit cancelled the instrument panel, and all functional displays are concentrated on the floating 15.6-inch central control screen, which has a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip that can realize voice interaction. The center console adopts a suspended design, supporting 50W wireless charging for mobile phones and two cup holders, while the lower part is hollowed out to retain additional storage space.

There is even a millimeter-wave radar system inside to monitor vital signs in the rear seats of the car for the health and safety of the passengers, the brand claims.

Other configurations include 256-color ambient lighting and a cloud gaming platform with more than 1,000 games.

The standard trunk volume is 400 liters but can be expanded to 1,546 liters by folding down the rear seats. There are also 21 storage spaces throughout the interior.
