On September 28, Aito announced that its new Aito M7 series has delivered more than 200,000 vehicles in 12 months since its launch. At the same time, consumers who place an order before October 8 can enjoy a maximum benefit worth 38,800 yuan (5,500 USD).
The Aito M7 was the second product of the Aito brand jointly created by Huawei and Seres, although Seres recently acquired the Aito trademark and patents from Huawei. The Aito M7 was launched in July 2022 with three trims.
Fast forward, the new Aito M7 was first launched on September 12, 2023, offering five-seater and six-seater layouts in a total of five trims. Then later, the series added two rear-wheel drive intelligent driving trims. The price range of the seven trims was 249,800 – 329,800 yuan (35,100 – 47,000 USD).
Subsequently, In 2024, the new Aito M7 series launched two new models – the new Aito M7 Ultra and the new Aito M7 Pro. In particular, the Pro was launched on August 26, available in four trims with a price range of 249,800 – 289,800 yuan (35,100 – 40,700 USD). The Pro is equipped with the Huawei ADS basic version, which is supported by three millimeter-wave radars, 10 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars to realize intelligent navigation assistance functions on national highways and urban expressways such as small animal, pedestrian, and road obstacle detection and avoidance, sentry mode, intelligent parking assistance. The basic version does not come with lidars. The forward automatic emergency braking function supports braking at a maximum speed of 120 km/h.
On the other hand, the new Aito M7 Ultra is equipped with a 192-line lidar, combined with three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras, enabling the Ultra to use the NCA (Navigation Control Assistant) function.
Looking back to its sales performance, 25 days after the official launch, the new Aito M7 series received more than 50,000 firm orders. Then, its cumulative delivery reached 30,635 units 84 days after launch and over 100,000 units 170 days after launch.
As of September 22, the cumulative sales of the new Aito M7 series in 2024 have reached 149,600 units. In August, the series delivered 10,261 vehicles and claimed the cumulative sales champion of new energy vehicles for the first eight months of 2024, according to the official.
