Recently, Seres’ Aito brand partnered with Green Motors to launch its 2024 Seres 7 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The car is known as the new Aito M7 currently on sale in the Chinese market. The 2024 Seres 7 is available in five trims, RWD and AWD, as well as 5-seater and 6-seater versions, with a price range of 210,000 – 260,000 dirhams (57,200 – 70,800 USD).
More specifically, the 2024 Seres 7 corresponds to the new Aito M7 Pro (see spec here) based on its lack of roof lidar. For reference, the new Aito M7 Ultra is equipped with a roof 192-line lidar. In terms of safety, advanced driving assistance functions including forward collision warning, blind spot detection, lane keeping assist, and hill descent control, just to name a few, are present on the 2024 Seres 7.
At its brand launch event in the UAE on June 28, Seres displayed its Seres 5 and Seres 7 as part of Aito’s overseas expansion plan.
The length, width, and height of the 2024 Seres 7 is 5020/1945/1760 mm, and the wheelbase is 2820 mm. The curb weight is 2370 kg or 2460 kg, depending on the trims. The standard trunk volume is 188 L for the 6-seater and 686 L for the 5-seater.
The RWD is powered by a 1.5T engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor that outputs 196 kW (263 hp) and 354 Nm. The 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 7.8 seconds. The AWD adds a front permanent magnet synchronous motor, bringing the combined system power to 323 kW (433 hp) and torque to 654 Nm. The 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 3 seconds less than that of the RWD – 4.8 seconds. Both the RWD and AWD have a fuel tank capacity of 60 L and are equipped with 40 kWh ternary lithium battery packs, providing a WLTP combined range of 1,150 km and 1,050 km, respectively.
According to the official Seres UAE website, the cockpit features a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 2K 15.6-inch central control screen, and a HUD. Additionally, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a 11-speaker Seres sound system, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, and Apple CarPlay are supported.
