Deepal L07 with Huawei Qiankun ADS SE launched starting at 21,500 USD

On September 20, the Deepal L07 mid-size sedan was officially launched with six trims at a price range of 151,900 – 173,900 yuan (21,500 – 24,700 USD), available in EV and EREV variants. The appearance of the Deepal L07 continues the Deepal SL03’s design and features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS SE. Deepal claimed that the Deepal L07 is more suitable for family users, while the Deepal SL03 is more sporty.

For the exterior, the Deepal L07 features sharp headlights, frameless doors, hidden door handles, an electric rear wing, 19-inch three-spoke rims, and a 1.9 m panoramic sunroof. Its official drag coefficient is 0.215Cd.

The length, width, and height of the Deepal L07 are 4875/1890/1480 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2900 mm. Except for the body length increased by 55 mm, other dimensions are consistent with that of the Deepal SL03 (see spec here).

The onboard Huawei Qiankun ADS SE intelligent driving assistance system uses a visual solution, realized via sensors including three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 10 cameras, supporting lane change assist, obstacle avoidance, and automatic emergency braking for highway navigation, as well as parking assist, to name a few. Hence, a roof lidar is not seen on the vehicle.

Inside, the cockpit is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and features a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen, a 55-inch AR-HUD, a D-shaped steering wheel, and 50 W mobile phone wireless fast charging. The operating system comes from the Deepal OS.

The air-conditioning outlet adopts a horizontal hidden design, and the details are decorated with ambient lights. A rear touch screen and air-conditioning vents are also present.

There are 22 speakers throughout the interior.

The EV variant is powered by a 185 kW (248 hp)/310 Nm rear electric motor and a 56.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The CLTC range is 530 km.

The EREV variant uses a 1.5L engine as a range extender, with a maximum power of 72 kW (97 hp), paired with a 160 kW (215 hp)/320 Nm or 190 kW (255 hp)/320 Nm electric motor. Two lithium iron phosphate battery pack capacities are offered: 28.39 kWh and 35.07 kWh, corresponding to a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and 300 km, respectively; and a comprehensive CLTC range of 1330 km and 1400 km, respectively.

The entire series is equipped with 3C fast charging and V2L external discharge function as standard. Under fast charging, it takes 15 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 80%.
